Desert Winds Steel Orchestra

What started as an 8 member steel band back in the fall of 1997 has grown into a 15+ member ensemble. Our repertoire includes Latin and pop songs and an array of island tunes that will create an atmosphere of pure joy regardless of the setting in which we are playing. Over the years, our appeal to audiences of all ages led us to be repeatedly invited to perform at Cricket Pavilion to entertain the crowd of party-goers prior to performances by the immensely popular Jimmy Buffett, as well as the annual Rock-N-Roll Marathon in Phoenix. In addition to our live performances, in July of 2017 we released our third CD entitled "Sweeter On Steel".

Sounds of the Southwest Chorale

The Sounds of the Southwest Chorale (SSWC) is an all-volunteer choir under the umbrella of the Sounds of the Southwest Singers Inc., and was established in 2015.  The Chorale is smaller by design than the original Sounds of the Southwest Singers (SSWS), and our positions are filled through a vocal assessment process. The SSWC performs traditional and contemporary music. The Chorale season is September through May, performing two concert series, in late fall and mid-spring.
