" The word "therefore" connects Christ's exaltation directly to His willingness to humble Himself. God bestowed upon Jesus "the name that is above every name" - a reference to the name "Lord" (Yahweh), which declares His supreme authority over all creation. When Paul said, "At the name of Jesus every knee will bow—in heaven and on earth and under the earth," the emphasis was on every creature in the universe acknowledging Jesus as Lord over all creation.
