Genesis 18:1-15 presents the remarkable story of divine visitation where God appears to Abraham by the oaks of Mamre accompanied by two companions. Written by Moses as part of the patriarchal narratives, this passage showcases both extraordinary hospitality and the reaffirmation of God's impossible promise. Abraham was well acquainted with the LORD and would have instantly recognized Him, because the Lord had spoken and/or appeared to him many times before during their covenant relationship.
