Missions for December 2020

Clean Out the Cupboards NOW

Make room for the new and give your gently used kitchenware to MANA House for former homeless Veterans going into their own apartments and need help in furnishing them. The need is always there for kitchen ware, dishes, glasses, pots and pans, silverware and small and working electric appliances. The Veterans at MANA House have come back from the edge and have worked hard to get to the point of going out on their own again. Please help them by giving your old and gently used kitchen items to them. Thank you so much for supporting them when their need is so great. We are NOT collecting clothing due to COVID-19 at this time. Thanks for understanding.

TP is what Santa is asking for this Christmas

bathroomJUSTA Center, the Homeless Day Center for Senior Citizens, is asking Santa for TP this year and personal hy-giene items – deodorant, shampoo (no travel sizes please) body wash, tooth brushes and paste. Their needs are simple BUT the need is great. Phoenix is much warmer in the winter than places NORTH of us and homeless people find their way South and West when it gets cold up North. Our homeless population is increasing and the need is great. TP is something very basic and used up after one use and so are the personal care items so their need is continuous. Please help those less fortunate, TP is something you just have to have!!

You ARE the Santa This Year!!

Santa2020 has been a tough year for everyone, especially children whose parents have lost their jobs due to COVID-19 or other difficult economic issues. There are so many more kids this year being served by Valley View Food Bank (VVFB) that they are asking for NO Bikes, just MORE nice toys. The parents can only afford going to the Dollar stores for gifts, so if you can dig a little deeper this year and please just buy more toys, socks books, and games – please do not buy any bikes. They just need more toys because there are so many more children that they are serving at VVFB. Thank-you for your understanding and helping those less fortunate, have a Merry Christmas. Please be the Santa for children who will not have a Happy Christmas without our help.
