Stephen Ministry – We have 32 active Stephen Ministers  reaching out to over 83 of our members with weekly visits of care and encouragement. These volunteers provide the opportunity for communion, prayer, Bible reading, and friendship in member’s homes who are facing difficult situations. Each one makes a great difference in the lives they touch. They are confident that Jesus is with them and is working through them!

Phone Friends –  Over 50 members are called each month by these great volunteers to keep them in touch with our congregation and to become a friend and encourager. This group meets quarterly to report and to update their information and assign new callers and call receivers. They do a wonderful job and they have fun doing it!

Homebound Day Out is a special event on Wednesday of the week of Valentine’s Day in February during the Amazing Grays luncheon. Many are no longer able to attend Sunday worship with us. Special transportation arrangements are made, and their meal is free, thanks to a generous member who pays for all of the homebound and their drivers who attend. This is a joyous tradition which celebrates our “unseen” members and allows for many happy reunions with long-time friends.  Over 100 volunteers and homebound members attended this event in 2017.

GriefShareSupport Groups provide a safe and spiritual environment for healing and growing through the journey of grieving a lost loved one. This year our bereavement program continues using the program “GriefShare”. This study includes a workbook and a video presentation along with a guided discussion to encourage survivors to experience a new strength in their faith in God. Participants express a great appreciation for the tools and truths they learn, and for the new friendships they develop during this program.

Caring Ministry takes place every hour of every day as our pastors, staff, and members demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in our contacts with people in our community.
