Even today we still need a priest – someone to intercede on our behalf. Jesus has done that and no longer do we need a human intercessor and we can rely on Christ alone for redemption.
Essentials of Faith and Stewardship Romans 6:1-8 Remain focused on the essentials of faith keeps us from becoming distracted by non-essentials. Stewardship of all we have is part of our essential response. In Romans, Paul draws attention to the essentials of our faith; everything we need to be faithful disciples. This teaching is important for us because we are so easily distracted and we are easily led to believe other, lesser things, are also essential leading to dissension and disunity…
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 We as Christians can receive our greatest comfort from knowing God personally and what he does for us. This comfort is passed on to other Christians in the form of being together in hard times, encouraging each other, and believing in the goodness of God that we see in each other. We read that God so love the world that he sent his son, Jesus. Jesus radiates God’s glory and in communion we are direct recipients of God’s Glory and his love.
