We are people of the heart as well as people of the mind. Our heart is the very center of our being. It is where all our thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, and fears come together.

Digging Our Own Wells

We try to dig our own salvation, earning it by doing good deeds and living a “good” life. Isaiah and Jesus both teach us that is impossible. Only God can provide lasting salvation, freedom, and a guilt-free life.

Even today we still need a priest – someone to intercede on our behalf. Jesus has done that and no longer do we need a human intercessor and we can rely on Christ alone for redemption.
