It’s Turkey time
Thanksgiving is a special time when we give thanks to our Lord for our many blessings and to share those blessings with our neighbors. This year Thanksgiving is November 22nd. We will be accepting your gifts of turkeys, turkey breasts, large chickens or monetary donations from October 28 until November 18. If you wish to make a monetary donation, you may use the Mission Envelope in the pew and designate “Turkey” on the envelope or your check. Please make your checks out to Lakeview UMC.
Your gifts will once again let our neighbors know Lakeview Church cares.
Thanks! Kathryn Bowman

“Beans and Rice”
Needed for Valley View Food Bank
Please Bring Them on Sunday November 4, 2018
The Mission and Outreach Committee is reaching out to our Lakeview Family for extra weekly help for those in our community who are really hungry. Starting in November, we will be asking for different foods to be brought in weekly so that those who do not have much to eat will benefit from our generous donations.
Next week, on November 4th, please bring in bags of “Beans and Rice” for families that use this as their main and only meal. Any type of bean and any type of rice is welcomed and really needed. The cupboards are bare at Valley View Food Bank and we must help our neighbors.
“Beans and Rice”, when combined make up a complete protein. The grain and legume provide several important nutrients when combined and many calories, and both foods are widely available and moderately priced.
PLEASE bring in “Beans and Rice” on November 4, 2018, Thank-You.
