JUSTA Center served a HOT Chili lunch

On December 17, a crew of Mission and Outreach Committee members made 13 gallons of chili to serve to JUSTA Center Clients on December 18. The Missions & Outreach members cooked the chili slowly all night to blend the flavors for the perfect chili. Habitat 2020 Wrap-Up

Certainly 2020 has been a challenging year on most fronts, but Lakeview UMC’s support of Habitat for Humanity for Central Arizona continues steadfast.  Even without regular in-person church services and the distribution of coin collection boxes, and with a much shortened giving campaign due to  COVID-19, total Lakeview giving in 2020 came within $375 of matching our 2019 contributions. Cyclone “Gita” In February, the tiny island nation of Tonga was engulfed by Cyclone “Gita”, a Category 4 cyclone, with wind speeds of 110 knots.  It was the hardest hitting  cyclone to go through Tonga since 1960.
